Mesmerizing and wonderfully disorienting take on a familiar biblical story. I particularly love the buzzing drones on Kane’s side, slowly building inside his head, stoking a madness that results in horror. Yet when the voice appears it is like that of a dark angel, understanding what it is to be a flawed human, holding Kane’s hand even as it drips with his brother’s blood. In the end the project reveals two opposed yet complementary aspects of the religious impulse: to obey, and to resist.
